March 25 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
🍇 Noble Grapes 🍇
The term “noble grapes” is traditionally associated with international varieties of indigenous grapes, recognized for their high quality and originating from Europe. Historically they were labeled as noble, due to their ease of growth and helped colonized the wine world, reminiscent of nobility searching for new lands afar.
Noble grapes are said to retain their character wherever they are planted and are not hybrid grapes, which is popular today. The six noble grapes are Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Aside from Riesling (from Germany), all of these grapes originate in France. As a result, French winemakers became international consultants, helping winemakers grow these indigenous grapes in vineyards around the globe.
Join us for this educational tasting and discover your favorite noble grape. RSVP to save your seat and sip these six noble grapes. Attendees also enjoy special offers on the wines tasted, bring home a few nobles to enjoy at home 😉
